How about a Brady Hoke dartboard?

I've got a vinyl block M decal in my downstairs toilet.

As far as Buckeye basements go, mine's grey walls with grey berber carpet and helmet stripe chair rail. 65" 3D Vizio, bar, kegarator and too much signed shit to name, but my autographed Eddie jersey is probably my favorite.

  • I live on the panhandle in fl where every northerner wishes we had a basement so I converted my garage into a movie/entertainment room. The deal with my wife was we had to have carpet (I'm a stone/marble installer and the only other room not stone or hardwood is the kids room). So she designed it to have scarlet carpet with gray walls and black crown molding with white ceilings and white base. Turned out way better than we thought. I install a 1080I projecter with a 14 Foot screen to veiw the games and movies and my xbox. Best part is my wifes a st. Louis fan so the colors fit with her stuff too. The bad is that every sporting event were the go to place to go. I put my foot down this year and banned bcs title game and watched a movie

  • The home depot college paint looks awesome. I painted most of my walls in scarlet. Thought it would be way to much when I started but when I was finished it looks so cooool. I painted a helmet stripe all the way around the walls about half way up to break it up and added the huge stadium wall paper and some fat heads with misc pics.

  • I painted my basement with the home depot OSU gray on all 4 walls. Then I taped off the center of the walls and painted the helmet stripe in black scarlet and white just like The helmet. Have a large block O fathead on the wall. I will take a pick and post if I can learn how to do that on here.

  • Keep it simple. I had a bedroom painted gray with the football helmet stripe going vertically down 1 wall(probably like 99). You can get fatheads of Buckeye helmet stickers. It looked great without overwhelming you or trying too hard.

  • Finished our basement six years ago. Pics are attached. A few suggestions:
    1. Theatre seating if you can do it - a small platform behind the front seats will do and is nice
    2. Cabinets for your party gear
    3. Louvered doors if you have stereo equipment under your steps - especially if you have a sub-woofer (lets the sound really rock the room)
    4. Facilities if you can to minimize time away from the game action- we have a hallway to the right of the bar and the bathroom is down the hall. Some nice wall space for more memorabilia.
    5. Chair rail added a nice touch for us - sets off the memorabilia that I put up (not on the wall with the big screen but on the others). Due to the picture limit I didn't post my large wall pic, which includes about 25 pics.
    6. Hung copies of SI covers w/ OSU on them going down the steps (though I've since dropped my subscription due to the hatchett job they did on Tress and OSU).
    7. The PD had a two page pull-out of Donte Witner's helmet loaded w/ Buckeye leaves - have that at the top of the steps now, and one of the pics shows that.

For any of you that need finishing work, I had a fantastic guy in the Cleveland area (where I live) do the work for a very reasonable price - even hand-built the bar in the attached pics. I will be happy to pass on his contact info - just send me a note and let me know.

  • I agree I bought glidden's official osu scarlet and grey paint and it looks great in my office/spare room/Buckeye room. it's deckedwith roughly 50 signed pics, flags, bobble heads, banners, etc... I have osu helmet wind chimes and a big osu championship flag commemorating the 7 NT's.

Also the room is wrapped completely around meeting in the middle of the walls separating the S&G paint.

  • You gotta get a kegerator in there. Not a man cave until you have draft beer on tap....one thing I did was take ticket stub from bucks games and made a framed collage to throw on the wall. Find other cool stud to hang that ur wife won't approve of. In my case an autographed picture of Erin andrews
