How are people still questioning Matta? No offense to these players at all, but questioning a coach with his resume because Spoon and Sibert are transferring is ridiculous. You aren't at practice and none of these guys have been dominate in any limited playing time. In fact, the guys who beat them out for more significant time (Thompson, Scott) haven't been dominant with more time. He plays those who are ready, regardless of age, and he wins. Get over it. I'll stick with Thad, you bitch about 11 man rotations, let's see who gets more B10 Championships.

Thad isn't entirely absolved of any blame though. How about the fact that his two SO departures SHOULD'VE been more game ready. We really, really could've made it to Monday night and more than likely won the conf outright and the conf tourney as well if between JD and Sibert they were able to contribute give something, anything when the entered the game. So yeah, perhaps Thad's "bench recruiting" needs some polishing. His starting 5 recruiting is top notch though!

Just read some Bob Baptist quotes with Spoon, asked what Matta told him, "he thought I did not care about winning." Good for Thad and good luck Spoon elsewhere.
That is what I saw down the stretch as we gained momentum and he was tweeting about not playing or leaving, and the 2/3 games he got in late, every ball the went to him he just launched a wild shot, never even considered running the offense.

The kid just wants to play..nothing wrong with that..he has not been a malcontent..let him go and I hope he thrives

I listened to Offutt on Dan Dakich's radio show out of Indy a few weeks back..he said he was behind great players in Diebler and Lighty..no regrets coming to OSU..LOVED Matta..and had nothing but great things to say about his experience at OSU..he just wanted to PLAY......

This stuff is not Matta's fault..only 5 can play at one time..he saw he was the third option and decided to leave..ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT
