They play the shcedule that is set...and the schedule has been set for some time. This schedule will be a good chance for our "Young Bucks" to grow as a team and work out some kinks. Many people who are either in Buckeye Nation or not want Ohio State to drop scheduled opponents which costs a ton of money and other teams already have their schedules set. The most that "could" happen is change out 1 team for another at the beginning of the season, but in the grand scheme of things who would be willing to take a chance?
We are coming for you Bama!
We will get everyone's best shot..we always do..we also always have 2 games that we play flat and keep teams in games..our D is also breaking in 6 of the front 7..I wouldnt be beating our chests so damn early here..we should, looking at the schedule, think that we have an easy schedule..but reality is always worse than a subjective look at who you are playing from afar..as an old guy, I know I never count the chickens before they hatch..it just doesn't pay..REMEMBER PURDUE anyone???
Like many have stated, the schedule seems weak because the perception of the other B1G teams that tOSU is playing is weak. If they had NW, Wisky and scUM all ranked in the top 15-20 to start the year the schedule would look a lot stronger. The pre-season rankings are a big factor in how people perceive a teams or conferences schedule every year. The SEC elite play just as weak of an OoC schedule, save one game to open the season, which tOSU has been doing as well with Texas, USC, Cal., but since Cal has fallen off since the game was set-up tOSU gets knocked for playing an easy schedule. All we need to worry about is win and were in.
