I don't see why this news changes anything about the offers situation. It was at least a couple of weeks ago when he told the mass public "thanks but no thanks" to Ohio State. Yet, we still haven't offered Kozan or Davidson. Unless the staff is a bunch of stubborn idiots, they knew that getting Pirsig was a -150% chance weeks ago. I just don't see how this news would effect anything, as far as offers to OL go.

I really like the Gophers new coach Jerry Kill, Tim Brewster was a joke of coach, seriously the worst I have ever witnessed........Brewster highest level of college coaching was TE's coach and he was brought in to get better recruits to Minnesota, which he did - unfortunately he had no idea what to do with them when they got here. Kill is a no-nonsense kind of guy who does things the right way --- I am not saying the Goph's are gonna be winning Big-10 titles but I will bet they are competitive within the next 2-3 years, which is way better than the Brewster era. By the way--watch out for Marquis Gray this year - I have heard he looks great.

So you think Pirsig has a better chance at getting pro looks at OSU than at Minnesota? He would definitely win more games at OSU but it really won't effect how well he can show off his talents or his NFL capabilies some day - same with Kiel - I love the loyalty to these kids showed to their home states.

Gotta respect the kids that stay home. Kids in our state have very high expectations but I honestly can't blame Dodson for going elsewhere, he had offers from everybody. Some kids don't want the attention recruiting brings but OSU has consistently shunned some of the top kids in Ohio for the last 5 years and been way to slow to offer. I think you are starting to see kids wanting to get this over with by the start of their senior season in most cases, this never lent itself to the style of OL recruiting that Bollman has opted for. That needs to change because we're giving away all this talent. Kalis could learn from Pirsig in this instance, Pirsig has kept it classy and doesn't flip flop and run his mouth every chance he gets like a Benedict Kalis.
