  • Brainwashing!! Still alive in the Catholic church even after everything's that happened. Many Catholics have questioned their church the past decade. It will take another generation, at least, to lessen the intrigue of ND. The current generation of young Catholics seem to go through their rituals--First Communions, etc., but from what I can see, they are not attending church regularly like their parents did.

    The Irish will lose at MSU, and get drilled once again at USC and at Oklahoma, no shock there.
    I would venture to say outside of a few skilled athlete spots, Stanford is better than Notre Dame, and should beat them three years in a row.
    Sorry, look for Notre Dame to end up in another meaningless bowl with 4/5 regular season losses, and the media, Lou Holtz and ND fans trying to sell that 2013 is the year the Irish rebound.

    ND is for some reason still considered a National power even though irrelevant for 20 years. Why do they get a seat at the BCS table and an easy road to a BCS game over other conference schools? It is impossible to figure it out so don't beat yourselves up trying to come up with reasons.

    So is Meechigan and they have share one NC in the last 64 years. At least ND has won something more recently than that. Other than that its just the 'lore' of the golden domers, touchown Jesus, catholic school etc.. I want them to get some go players so they can beat Meechigan on a regular basis... Ultimatelyhey are no theat to us, uless we play them in a NC game(advantage Urban!)

  • A ND degree is great but its not like all of these guys are all taking uber difficult programs. Not to mention, playing at a national powerhouse program is going to get a persons foot in the door more quickly than a RecEd diploma from ND.

Even if they've been ND fans their entire lives that would mean that they know ND has been completely irrelevent since before they were born. I don't get it. Don't tell me about Notre Dame Degree. In today's world, there are PLENTY of prestigious universities, and by the way, most of these kids aren't going to 'bigtime' (if you can consider ND bigtime) football schools because of the 'name on the piece of paper'.

    I mean, what's their pitch? "Come to ND son, where we live in the past, in a crappy midwest town, where we play mediocre teams on national television, (that often times beat us) before we find ourselves in a middle level, nobody cares bowl. Join us! Oh, and we don't have a jumbotron either, so no seeing replays of your spectacular flameouts." Nobody loves watching ND implode week after week on national tv than I do, but honestly, somebody tell these kids the truth. They sure as hell aren't hearing the truth in South Bend. So what it is? Anyone? Bueller?....(cue background crickets)

    I hear they dont have TVs anywhere in their stadium. Can someone please let them know that Knute Rockne is no longer the coach and you can upgrade your stadium. I would rather not have them in the B1G. I would rather have Temple from a competitive standpoint.
