Yes he stuck it out and came back. But really, what other choice did he have? He wasn't and still isn't ready for the NFL. Posey was a good WR at the college level. I never seen him as anything really special. He might get to set the bench or play on a practice squad for a year or two in the NFL but that's it.

I'll forgive him for trading stuff for tattoo's. I think it was absolutely stupid to break rules a second time when he knew the NCAA was already investigating him. It doesn't get any more bone headed than that. He made some plays while he was here and got a free education for it. It's an even trade and that education will serve him better than what he learned on the football field. I wish him luck in life and hope that he truly has learned a valuable lesson. I don't blame him or any of the others for Tressel losing his job. That's on Tressel. Posey or anyone else didn't forced Tress to cover up what he knew. I would hope that all the parties involved would have learned from this and not repeat their mistakes.

Agree with this. What were his choices? Quit school? He had to stick it out.

He was a good receiver and that's it. Always good for at least one drop a game (kind of like JB good for at least one false start a game) and shied away from contact.

What's that old chinese proverb? Fool me once shame on you; fool me twice shame on me. He lost me when he screwed up a second time. Conversely JB screwed up once in his freshman year I think, while in the car with Adams when they had the weed. I never read about him screwing up again.

Not sure how to take his comments but he did stick around and support the team and continued to help...HOWEVER I still remember vividly the presser when he and the rest of the tat 5 apologized and how they were all coming back for their senior seasons and it still burns my ass that AFTER THAT he and BOOM STILL decided to do shady shit.......

Stupid stupid stupid decisions on their parts......I hope they truly realize how badly the screwed up their college careers as well as impacted their teammates and friends this season as well as next.

I will not use the "they are kids" comment because that is an excuse......however we all make poor decisions in life thinking we will get away with things and it does not always work out.

This class lacked SERIOUS leadership......well, leadership in all the wrong ways (TP).

Hopefully we can look forward and not get to this point ever again......the next several years can be very special. I am not getting overly excited yet because I am still cautious because you never know what might happen while we are under probabtion.

When he is 40 and sitting in his cubicle it will hit home. His attitude will help him have that cube in Columbus though.

  • Posey hung around with the wrong guy.Pryor had the "entitlement syndrome" that we first saw with MC.The way the real world works is you are not entitled to what you are not entitled.Sometimes you get away with it and sometimes you don't.Posey,Pryor and Tressel did not. They have all paid the price for what each knew was a clear violation of what they should have done.I do not feel sorry for any of them nor do I believe they are bad people. They made their decisions and they are now dealing with the negative consequences.
