Sounds like 21 reps for Adams. He did 19 at the combine. Hey, that's an improvement. He wasn't going to go from 19 to 25 in the span of 3 weeks. (You know, without the help of Mark McGwire and Barry Bonds.)

I saw his 40 at the Combine on tv when he ran it, and you can tell that he stumbled a bit out of the blocks. I'm glad he helped himself today with a much better 40. I think he is a 3rd round pick that could possibly make some noise with the right team next year. He is very well rounded and does everything pretty good. He just doesnt excel at one particular thing.

interesting that the Bears personnel are not in attendance. I think Kiper had Mike Adams going to the Bears in his last mock draft.

I can't imagine teams are too concerned about the bench numbers. Mike's quickness and agility are what will make him money, not his strength. Plus, you want long arms in your tackles - which Mike has - and long arms can make it more difficult to bench high reps.

Bench is the most overated football lift that there is. Many strength and conditioning programs don't even use it (they use incline or machines that focus on pushing out and up, not straight out which isn't a football movement). Power Clean and Squats (hips, knee bend and explosiveness) make a football player. Jared Allen did 6 reps at the combine and said he hasn't flat benched since. Don't get me wrong the lift does a great job showing upper-body strength but I never once heard in 15 years of being and NFL draft junkie of a guy getting drafted higher or lower because of his bench number.

Adams' bench is pathetic. Im 180 Pounds and I can do 225 16 times...
