Pryor "not planning to be the backup"

Please! I have no hard feeling towards Pryor what so ever. Because of his actions and others he brought one of the elite head coaches to Ohio State in Urban Meyer! But I don't think he'll even become the backup behind Palmer in Oakland. He still has to out beat Leinart for backup.

Pryor doesn't need to be a great passing QB. His athleticism will make up for a lot of mistakes.
Pryor throws well enough. The problem with Pryor was those one or two throws per game where he would lose his patience and just chuck it up for grabs. He needs to stop doing that. He also needs to learn to pass it over the middle a little and fit it in between the zone. But he doesn't need to be a better passer than Lienart to beat him out. Lienart can't hold Pryor's jock athletically. Pryor can do things on the football field that nobody else in the league can. I mean how many NFL QBs are 6'6" 240lbs, run a 4.2 40, and stiff arm 300lbs defensive linemen? ZERO!!
