Matt Hayes doesn't deserve to share the last name with Woody. I might suggest he be referred to as Matt Haze from this point forward. The name is a little more appropriate to his writing style.

I am absolutely floored when UF fans bash Meyer. If he comes to OSU and wins 2 NC's and dominates like he did at UF, he can not recruit at all his final season and I won't mind. Seriously, UF fans need to get over it. He did you guys good.

Hell hath no fury like a scorned college football fan! Matt Hayes is indicative of the " new internet journalism" that I despise....no research, no cooberation, no independent confirmation, no truth. Many publications are now the same...articles are now more akin to blog rants than researched news pieces. What passes for " news" these days is usually personal predjudice wrapped up as an article. As for the average Gator fan, I can understand their angst! We never had a Woody or Tress leave the Buckeyes at the height of their success and go coach another big time program. Imagine Woody racking up titles at USC in 1980....Tressel with back to backs at Texas! Buckeye Nation would be incensed and launching verbal bombs 24/7! So screw TSN,SI,ESPN, etc. and their pseudo journalism..DON'T CLICK ON THE LINKS! But I empathize with Gator fan...they had to eat a shit sandwhich....Imagine us if Tress had won in 2006 & 2007...retired over BURNOUT....and came back to Texas & went 12-0 his first year..would you be feelin' the love?

I think Bids is right on with his story and i find it very funny that a Professional would act like a total homer on a national publication, that being said remember the feeling of betrayal when an Ohio man lifted the crystal wearing blue and orange... I was really pissed. My what a difference 12 months makes!!!! I may have to adopt a kid so i can make his initials ufm. My last name starts with an M

UF fans like Hayes are a minority in FL. I do plenty of business in Gville and rest of state, most fans speak highly of UM.
MH loves to work "ND Nation" as well with some of his work!!! Pretty funny.

Hey Dave... Shout out to fellow Beavercreek alum... Florida Football in 100+ years before Meyer won 1 National Championship... 6 years with the Urb they won 2 .... Florida fans need to get over it, this man took them to heights they have never seen before and they act like they were always there.

Vary well written bids and you're right anyone who says urban left Florida in shambles is an idiot. Their classes were stellar when he was there and muschamp can only dream of recruiting like he does.

Unlike some on this board who have expressed sympathy for FL fans, I have none. The analogies of Tress going to TX or Woody to USC don't fly and Meyer didn't leave FL; he left football and coaching. When he did return, it was to his home state and his dream job. Their angst is more about disrespecting any program or institution that is not FL or in the SEC. What they are really saying is how could you leave us for that 'ugly girl'? Will only make it all the sweeter when we kick their butts in some future and inevitable game!!!

I didnt know anybody under age 70 read TSN. I remember it as a second rate rag at newstands that would get picked up when all other sports mags were sold out. Im shocked its still published
