Tons of scalpers right outside stadium. First game of year there will be plenty of tickets. Get them right before kickoff and you should get a good deal
Probably tickets available for the Buffalo, San Diego State and Florida A & M for face value at the tickets office or ticketsmaster a couple weeks prior to the games. Also, since those games suck and most of the alumni tickets will be for those games, check e-bay. Should be quite a few tickets for the non-conference games, some under face.
Agree with everyone. And bring a seating chart so you don't get screwed. One guy tried to sell me crappy B desk seats once by telling me they were premium so don't trust anyone. Lots of good seats available though from scalpers on game day.
Thanks to everyone for the info. Much appreciated.
I've had the same experience- lots of opportunities before kickoff right around the stadium.
I might be wrong, but this year might be more of a sellers market than in some previous years for a few reasons. Anybody correct me if I'm missing something here:
1. Coming off an undefeated season with a squad predicted to be even better
2. OSU is now on quarters, rather than semesters. In the past, students weren't yet on campus- reducing demand for seats. I think classes will begin prior to the first game, so demand for tickets from students, friends, & family will be higher than they were years ago.
Great advice from letzgobucks, richslee, buckeyerevenge, & killernutz96.
Some sites which you might also visit prior to the game:
(Just click on a section to see a picture of the view from the seats in that location)
(I can buy cheaper from scalpers, but not bad for learning some going rates beforehand)
The best deals Ive gotten have come from ebay but scalping is a breeze. Make SURE its not a student ticket and as someone mentioned B deck kinda sucks (but it is shaded for older folks).
