Shelton Gibson is fast

per the Ozone.
21.35 200 meters. 5th fastest in the country this year.
His offer list is a bit skinny and he lacks "stars" but he is a bonafide speedster.
His tape didn't wow me, like it did others (I could throw a tape of myself on youtube and 90% of the board would scream "offer this stud asap, great hi swivel, can't miss prospect"), but Urban craves speed and we need more of it.
This is a track time.
I always prefer those to the "Chad Hagan ran a 4.28" times that fool you guys so often.
You don't factor in that in many of these self-reported times it was the prospects Dad timing them in a 30 yard down hill dash.

Let's cut to Bolts 40yd dash math...
According to IAAF Analysis Split Times, Usain Bolt ran his FIRST 40m in 4.65 seconds. Subtracting his reaction time which was .165 seconds, he ran the 40m in 4.485 seconds. 40 yards is a totally different measurement than 40 meters. 40 yards is equal to approximately 36.576m
By simple ratio:
(40m/4.485)=(36.576m/X)
X=( 36.576 / (40/4.485) )
Usain Bolt's 40 yard dash would be:
A blazing 4.100 seconds!!!!!
and considering the human error in hand-timed timing used in most combine settings, this time could easily be read as 3.85 seconds at the NFL Combine!!!!

Gibson puts up impressive track times, but i have to agree with the poster who said they heard something about his football running motion being flawed.
He doesn't appear to have that elite speed in his film and his running is very sloppy. Reminds me of Ken-Yon Rambo who everyone said was the fastest thing on 2 feet but get him on a football field and his limbs are going all over the place and he's not that fast.
I'm hoping with some refining he'll develop that football speed, but i don't think the film speed matches the track times we are seeing him put up. Watch him on tape and he never really pulls away from anyone.
