He says that Appling guarded craft too closely because he respected his offensive abilities too much?
If you are afraid of an offensive player that you think can beat you off the dribble then you don't play in his face. You back up a little to give yourself a step to make up if he is that quick. Hand check him if you can get away with it too. You don't body up on him 2 feet away. That is somethign you do to someone you don't respect in regards to their ball handling skills.
MSU tries to physically intimidate you. It didn't work. Craft is as physical of a point guard that I've seen play the game. He likes to bang.
