Swan Song For Bollman, Heacock

They won 11 Big Ten titles from 1968-82, a span of 15 years. That's better than Heacock's run of 9 in 15 years from 1996-2010.

But I seriously doubt there was anybody on Woody's staff in 1968 who was still there with Earle when he won the last one in that run in 1981.

So his is a unique accomplishment, indeed.

That track record speaks for itself. I wish Bolls and Heacock the best. Unfortunately the coaching staff of the last 11 years won't be appreciated until later in Buckeye HIstory evaluation.

  • I don't know Gessig. You seem to insist that any negative remark is somehow out of line. Nobody gets better at anything without negative feedback. That's just how life goes. I'm happy the Brewsters love the guy. But a lot of OSU fans don't/didn't. Lots of people weren't crazy about Tressel's offense either. He won loads of games and seemed like a good guy. But he was no Bill Walsh or Paul Brown.

From my spot in front of my tv, I didn't see much to like about Bollman's offense, and the earlier poster was right on the money. We've been terrible in turning out NFL guards and tackles.

Tresell got it done, and that's what counts. Hope they both ride off into a nice sunset.
