Crowell was all but sure to redshirt anyway but that is worrisome that he needs another surgery. I know it was a bad injury but I was not expecting this.
I hope so - that sounded like a horrible injury and I just hope the kid can come back and play.
I had high hopes for Crowell, but with his leg requiring another surgery, who knows if he will ever suit up. With losing 3 linebackers and there are still questions with McVey's health, I think the staff should really consider offering Mason Monheim! This kid is a football player who reminds me of a Tyler Moeller type of guy.
He wouldn't miss a whole season on the basis of an elective hardware removal. Odds are that he has a non-union (non-healing fracture) of his distal tibia and fibula. This is a notoriously common and difficult-to-treat complication of distal tib-fib fractures - particularly OPEN fractures (what we used to call "compound" fractures) - and I seem to recall his fracture being described somewhere as "open".
I am keeping my fingers crossed for his sake, but this is NOT the kind of news bite you want to hear about someone with his type of injury.
What about the DT Valentine, he said a few months back that he wanted to hear more from OSU.
All the more reason to offer Dion Dawson or Trae Clark. Corwell was problably sitting out anyway, but hope all heals well

According to the blue board scum has turned him down also. What gives? No one wants the kid
Too bad about Crowell. When I watched his film I thought he was the most instinctual and hard-nosed linebacker of all of those we took last year. He reminded me of the real #36 in HS.
