Obviously being able to take 10 more recruits than we will be able to this year is a big advantage, but Texas A&M could be a real force to be reckoned with year in and year out in the SEC if they keep this up.

Right now Texas is struggling and everyone is talking about A&M. If they can routinely snatch the top players in the talent laden state of Texas away from UT by selling them on competing in the SEC while staying in Texas, they could build themselves into a real force for years to come.

I have no idea if they are just taking every Texas 3 star that shows interest, or if they are evaluating talent well, but they did just grab the #1 prospect in the entire state. They have the recruiting base in Texas to stay competitive with Bama without even leaving their home state, essentially. It will be interesting to watch it play out.

I agree that it's BS, but there is nothing you can do about it. It's like the schedule...you can't control who you play, just if you win.

You know how lately there's been this trend of people starting funny petitions to Obama's administration? Maybe someone should write a petition that forces all CFB teams to follow the same scholarship limitations, as well as enforce the directive that all scholarships be honored for 4 years (like the Big Ten does). Pointless idea? Absolutely. But it would be funny to see it make the news and see the reaction from SEC coaches.

This is actually a good idea and its not hard to do.On a board this big with upward of 5 thou hits a day a well thought out petition with the proper address and telephone numbers can begin to move things. We have done this effectively with people who were loosing their homes to predatory lending. Had a designated day to melt down the phone lines of the target. Get it going on this board and perpetrate it to other big boards. It would be a phoning for those that like doing that or writing for others.
