Matta is the man but I think he should take a serious look at this staff.
*don't see big man development
*shooting has regressed
*I don't see the recruiting prowess either
*strength staff, I don't see the development either
Elite programs follow up great seasons with another good-great season. Double digit losses, probable quick exit in the tourney, and a 5th/6th place finish does not make a good season. The other glaring issue for the program right now is the 2013 still does not have a big man. Williams is not the guy going forward, McDonald simply isn't skilled enough to be elite but he does try and then we're banking on landing Okafor in '14 I guess? Not the best plan should he opt for Duke which obviously wouldn't surprise anyone. We should've already experienced our mulligan for the season (road blow out @Illinois) but here we are yet again. Our offense looks pathetic most times with little ball movement or sense of purpose out there. There should be some tangible growth evident by now but alas some players have...gasp...gotten worse. I'm in no way, shape or form calling for Thad to be jettisoned but he absolutely needs to change some things in the department of talent evals and game management if he wants his program to continue to sit at the big boy table of college hoops. I can't believe we're actually going to be playing on the first day of the B1G tourney with the loser programs. Barf!
