The Big Ten Network needs to make a big investment

  • and turn themselves into a full fledge sports channel. Need to have a "Sportscenter" Type show, need to hire some good personalities for that show, need to expand and start a radio network and need to start showing HS Football games from the midwest.

    There is no reason they have to strictly show BIG sports, with replays showing 14 times. They can become a Big Ten "Region" network and show many different things. Keep their core and show BIG sports, but instead of showing all the replays, let's get some sports "news" shows, talk shows etc going.

    I write this as I am working with ESPN on in the background because there are no options on TV.

    No it doesn't. Its the B10 Network Not all Sports Network. There is already NBCsports and soon Fox 1 and Fox 2 on the way. The B10 Network will get paired with the 2 National Fox Channels and problem solved.

    Fox is an investor in the B10 network. Fox itself has regional sports channels in every large market in the country. The B10 network is a different animal and has been very successful at what it's been doing. While ESPN is out carrying every Lebron James story the B10 network is updating the millions of B1G fans with B1G information across the country.

    The big ten network was created and exists for one main reason: promote and cover the big ten.

  • Well the BIG Ten network sucks from midnight to 7pm.....My bad for thinking they could put some kind of programming on that would get someone to turn it on for something other than the one or two games they may show in the evenings. I'll just keep watching ESPN.
