Great article. These LBs are going to wreck havoc! Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think Perkins was here in the spring. Is he referring to summer conditioning?

I agree about Roberts. Any word about how he is doing?

With OSU's lack of depth prior to this year, it would be a great idea to get all 5 of these young Men significant PT this year. Hopefully there is another Shazier or two among them. But,I am really hoping that Grant steps up and fulfills his potential.

I thought the quote about urban saying he will play, but how much is to be determined was about Marcus not Perkins

Also interested where Roberts fits in considering he was left out of this piece... anyone have any info? Have to imagine Fickell is pulling for him considering he's coaching the LBs and recruited Roberts...

Starting to really love Boom Perkins:

Perkins wasn't here for spring ball, was he?

What sick depth and talent. All of them, new guys and veterans, have got great attitudes and character. I've never been as optomistic about the LB corps as a whole. Can the season start like, now, please? I can't wait to see these guys in action

Re: Luke Roberts ... he looked solid to me in the spring. I know he had the one play in the spring game where Rod Smith carried him into the end zone, but overall I wasn't disappointed in Roberts. Admittedly, I didn't come in with high expectations, but he definitely has the body type of an OSU linebacker. Standout high school player. We shall see. Of the 5 true freshman linebackers, I think Roberts is most likely to redshirt, but that doesn't mean anyone is writing him off. This is just a great LB class with Marcus, Perkins, Perry, Williams and Roberts.
