Fickell needs a fair shake at this job. No coach this young has had this much turmoil from a past hc than him. Should he do better yes but he is trying not to throw his coaches and players under the bus. Behind close doors I will say it is different than you think. Vrabel and Fickell are upset at the offensive staff for the most part are terrible. Tress and Hazell are missed dearly but Fickell need another chance. People need to realize this is a very young team that needs and lacks leadership. People so quick to get Fickell out but look at what he is left. A win tomorrow and most of this is forgotten and if he beats Illini and Wisky and its all forgotten. Not even half way through the season and everyone has already said he is not the answer. Let him coach with his players and his staff and he doesn't have his staff yet.

Just another reason Smith has to go. He has shown to be incompetent both behind closed doors and in the public.
