This has been an issue even when we had Oden. Heck it was an issue before that when we had B1G POY Terrence Dials in the middle. Matta must not stress FEEDING THE POST is all i can say.

The most frustrating thing to me is our lack of offense.
I was one last year that knocked Diebler's importance. The games where he did not score, I just did not understand why he was out there. Now it is crystal clear that he offered spacing just because of his talent. That is the first thing this year's team is missing.
Second, I just do not see a slasher that can match what David Lighty did for us. Not only was he a heck of a defender, but the guy could create offense by his driving ability.
I hope this team can figure it out, but I just don't see the right mixture of pieces.
We are good team that could still win it all, but I think we are nowhere near as good as we were last year.

They are extremely lucky to only be down 5 with the way they are shooting, and of course the officiating of this game
If they don't make some jumpers in the 2nd, we're in trouble

I agree but the times they've taken it inside they've been whistled for 3 charges and neither Sully or Amir on his shot attempt have drawn a foul. Officials have set the tone for this game and the result is jump shots from both sides. Difference, they've made a few 3s, we haven't.

I think he has to play, he has to play 10+ minutes a game. He is a difference maker on D and he will get rebounds. The more he plays the more touches he gets on O the better his O game gets.
If Scott were to be in T Burke's place he would be just as good. He missed those two free throws because he lacks the confidence of minutes played

Davis nailed it, our offense is a joke. We do not attack, we are slow and with the talent we have to out talent people, we let them in games by walking the ball up the floor and not going inside over a smaller team.
There had to be 6/7 times Smith, Thomas or Buford had wide open drives in front of them after good ball rotation and double teaming Sully, and we keep launching 3 pointers.
Just pathetic.

Free throws is always disappointing, between Thomas and Scott, 0 for 3. Between Scott and Craft we have two of the most average FT shooting PG's in the country, PG's should not be that bad from the line, period, no excuses.

I hate to be debbisdowner...but I'm not sure what we can do... with our offense...to get this game. I know... hit shots. But our offense is so pathetic...we need to hire Bollman to give us a spark...
