Thoughts on LB

Why not try running Zach Boren, Nate Williams, and Ryan Shazier with Noah Spence at DE in our base defense and then pull Boren off when we go to the nickel? Nate Williams has coverage ability that we have seen when he plays the LEO. Spence played very well against indiana and we can rotate if we want to bring Nate down to DE and either bring Boren back on or play someone like JT Moore or Josh Perry at LB. I think having Nate and Shazier at LB will help our issue of getting killed on short passes/bubbles screens because they both run very well end to end. Thoughts?

Wow do our linebackers suck. For a minute I had a vision of Boren, Williams and Shazier at starting LB for OSU. Wisconsin and Michigan offenses are smiling.

I would not be surprised at all if that is what we see when Williams can return to the line-up.

Let me preface this by saying that I'm as frustrated as anyone about our defense this year, but it's much easier to just find fault and come up with our own (limited knowledge) solutions when you're playing with someone else's chips and have nothing to lose and don't spend hours and hours with these players each and everyday. These coaches have much more to deal with than what we see from the outside looking in. With respect. Go Bucks!

Yep, and Meyer dropped some fairly heavy hints as such in the presser earlier this week. I don't think this is far fetched at all.

We don't have a choice but to go with it. I wonder how like roberts us looking supposedly he was doing well in the spring.

I agree 100 percent but it's not like their defenses are all that great either....especially Wisky
