Orlando Pace is one of the best ever but Mark May is in the college football Hall-of-Fame and won the Outland Trophy. He was a first round pick and went on to play 12 seasons in the NFL where he was a Pro Bowl selection and Super Bowl Champion. That ain't bad.

Agreed. I'm gonna play the optimist as opposed to being a realist. I just don't understand how you could possibly compare the two. Pitt & OSU aren't even in the same universe. Pitt may be doing well this year...but that's for a team where their annual goal is to be competitive and finish above .500. Going for a conference championship or to a BCS bowl is a bonus. Here, at The OSU, conference championships are EXPECTED! Not bonuses. BCS bowls: EXPECTED! Matter of fact, The OSU is about 1-2 seasons away from National Title Games being expected. I understand the desire to stay close to home. But it's not like we're asking him to play in SoCal, or even SoCaro. It's Ohio. Right next door brother. Come on over.

It was also in the brief period of when Pitt football was relevent.....Brief as it was. The likes of Mark May, Tony Dorsett.....all great athletes and long time retired. Can you please tell me the last player from Pitt who was relevant in the NFL? That Mark May argument could be very pertinent if the Johnson kid was being recruited in the 80's but it is 2012 and Pitt has not been relevent and I do not believe Chryst will make it relevent again anytime soon. So that being said, TOSU would be a much better choice if your college and then a potential NFL career is what you are concerned about IMHO. He is a bright kid and ultimately will make the decision that is best for him but using Mark May as the most recent success story from pit is very weak at best. I wish the young man the best in his decision and would love to see him in scarlet and grey! GO BUCKS!!!!
