If Timmons still wants to be a Buckeye after all the staff has put him through, I respect and admire his loyalty. If not, I wish him well.

Exactly. We'll see if the fact he's been strung along until two weeks before signing day affects his thinking at all. Considering he's been working for an offer since FNL. If it were me, I'd feel like a contingency plan here and would have to put some other offers higher on my list.

Since we offered Timmons does this mean that the staff is not so optomistic about Wilson and other wr on our board.

His situation is a little confusing. An offer now with so many others on the stove makes me think one of three things...
Our chances with the other guys are not as good as we previously thought
We have more room than we thought due to transfers and commitment flips (Munger)
After further review, this kid is actually better than we first thought.
I have trouble believing that the staff would feel desperate to grab another receiver if he doesn't measure up, when you look at the others we already have. The spot is too useful in the future if this kid is not good enough.
Experts...any thoughts?

Bill can you shoot it to us straight? Is this kid OSU caliber or is this just a case we don't think we are going to get anyone we want and have to try to fill a spot with a body? I have heard his competition in high school was lacking

He is as good a prospect as anyone on the Board. Is he better than Clark or Wilson? We don't know, but I certainly don't think that he is far inferior, as a slot, to either, based on film and measurables. any of the 3 would be excellent for this offense, IMO.
Timmons wants to be a Buckeye? Be a Buckeye.

The competition he went against certainly was not like playing the top programs in Ohio. But Timmons has great speed and is a talented athlete. Is he an OSU offer caliber guy in my opinion? Yes. Is he the very best prospect in the country at his position? No. But he is an Ohio State, Florida type caliber prospect in my opinion.

If he thinks he's good enough, and he is good enough, this will only serve as an inspiration for him to "show them" what they are getting. I love his speed, but my wish list is any 3 of Bell, Skipper, Hunt, Wilson, Clark, and Carrington. (especially Carrington - stud)

He's a nice prospect but this is a CLASSIC case of playing the field at the bars scouring for perfect 10s only to end the night with a 7 because you know you'll get some and struck out with the top shelf pussy.
