Word spread late Monday night that Ryan Timmons would soon announce his college choice. There is more to the story this morning which helps to clear things up.
Bill, how solid were those Interviews? I'm wondering if you listened to them too. Figured you did and wondered how much of that was prepared text, or if you thought it was off-the-cuff.
The coach is very concerned that the kid gets help with his schooling. Adjusting to it, tutoring etc.
Wants him to be able to reach out and get help with that transition (something that would seem like every school would offer?)
He said that anywhere the young man goes, he'll have to learn a system, but if he wanted to play right away, then Kentucky was the best fit.
Also made a note that Timmons is not "worldly" at all. He's naive, in a good way.
And that even though he (the coach) has told schools that came calling "No, you are not a good fit (offense wise), ... The young man, Ryan, has trouble telling the coaches No, I'm not interested in your school.
Coach also said that not he, nor does he believe Timmon's knows, where he is leaning at this time.

IMO he runs a lot like Braxton. Very quick starts and stops with pretty good wiggle. I like him in this class but I think the greater need is a tall wideout who can stretch the field vertically.
I think that if Florida wasn't a co-equal consideration at this point, he wouldn't visit. No sense making that trip and skipping an offical visit somewhere ( despite being there several times before) unless there is a thought you may decide to go there.
My question is, will the Gators accept his commitment?
I think it comes down to Florida or Ohio State in the end.

If Timmons goes to TOSU or elsewhere, I think that will tell us a lot about where we stand with other prospects.
Cleveland Orchestra Baby!! World's greatest!! The Brown's wet dream is to be them. The Ohio State University-Where the Illibuck Lives!
The closest that I will ever get to a Buckeye ring or Gold Pants. Saw it sold on e-bay April 29, 2011 for $8500.
I wouldn't be disappointed if he chooses another school, I personally dont think he has tOSU caliber talent. Hint, it took Meyer and Co. A very long time to offer him a scolly. But he is a good kid and I wish him all the best with whatever school he chooses.
Lol I agree, they should choose a better avi for the kid.
