There was not a better Ohio State LBer than Randy Gradishar IMO..Gradishar should be in the Pro football HOF...Marcus Marek was a all-time great that seems to get lost among Buckeye fans.

You guys have got to realize also what style of offense's that these guys played against. The days of 200 tackle seasons are becoming few and far between. James was not undersized, 6'2, 6'3 235 - 240? Undersized? I still feel that AJ was the best. That guy just made play after play. An athlete to the fullest. Best I have ever seen at defending a screen. He was a rare conbination of football smarts, athletic ability, and toughness. This guy played on a national championship team as a freshman.

I gotta go with speilman hawk and laurinaitis.
Now i'm only 34 but to me in todays pass happy games the position has changed and those three guys were the best modern era which I beleive to be a tougher era for the position due to the versatility the job requires now.
