Sprinkle was offered by pretty darn solid defenses coaches like Dantonio/Narduzzi at MSU and Larry Johnson/Roof from Penn State, before OSU even offered him.
He had offers from other pretty solid BCS schools like Louisville (just went 11- 2 and beat Florida in the Sugar), Cincy, Purde, Kentucky, Arkansas, Syracuse and a few other BCS program before OSU offered and got him.
I will take real early offers from defensive minded proven coaches like Dantonio, Narduzzi, Larry Johnson, Ted Roof, Scott Schaefer and Charlie Strong over these ranking services any day of the week, also Urban Meyer.
Sprinkle did not go to camps and play the recruitng circuit games, who cares. You play those games at camps, you move up in the rankings.
Kid is a heck of a DL and recently just turned 17, his best is in front of him. Sprinkle is a pretty good hoops player as well, real athletic.
Amazes me the threads worrying about what UofM sites think, they are probably the most delusional fan base out there, all their talk and they have not had a Big Ten title since 2003 in a bad Big Ten and they have a .5 a national title in close to 70 years. Talk all they want, they are an irrelevant football program if you travel and talk college football, it is just these boards that bring UofM up a lot.
You will not find other college football fans talking about Hoke at UoM if you travel like Meyer at OSU, they are smart enough to realize Hoke is not an elite coach and UofM is not even a top 20 program right now.

Choice 1: 6'5" 245lbs 90 tackles 23.5 Sacks Division III Ohio football player
Choice 2: 6'4" 250lbs 103 tackles 19.0 Sacks Division I Ohio football player

Player 2 is Sprinkle.... the 3*.
Player 1 is Adolphus Washington.... the 5*.

I am not saying Sprinkle is the same player is A.W, there are some key differences, but the difference is not as far as some, particularly scum fans, would have you believe. How many sacks do you think Sprinkle gets in DIII in the Cincy area?

Regarding Taco, noticed he was a Parade All American Honorable Mention. Haven't followed it much but did he put up some numbers this year? Always thought of him as a project.

I can not believe our back to back D-Line hauls. Sprinkle and Bosa are studs. Micheal Hill's film actually scared me a little. He was blowing up triple teams and power slamming RB's. He is a freak.

I have seen Pickerington play four times & I can tell you in those games Taco Charlton started zero of them, and was not on the field during crucial downs. Just saying. I know he is just playing for a High School coach, it might take a college coach to project him into a parade all american.
