"With the end of the season most of us are sitting around with quite a bit less to do so we are talking more,” the high school coach said. “The number of coaches pissed about the lack of [Ohio State] offers going out to Ohio players is building.
“The thing is, I don't think they care down there. The reality is they can get any Ohio kid’s attention anytime they want. Jim Tressel got just about every Ohio kid he offered. Urban knows he can do even better. A letter, some kind of legal contact is all it takes to get to any player. If the high school coach is mad, that is his problem.”
"I don't think they care down there"? This comes off extremely poorly. I HAVE NEVER HEARD SUCH A WHINY, ENTITLED ATTITUDE from a coach. Have they synchronized their cycles with all this time off together?
Not one player in the state has a right to an OSU offer. Not. One. Coaches and players better get their minds right and promote competition to get their players to be the very best players they can possibly be. If you loaf and lounge, then OSU is big enough and Meyer cunning enough to get someone more talented or harder working from elsewhere.
OSU can and should recruit the best. Period. Ohio football better catch up rather than cry about it.
