  • Twitter is for twats... It's one thing to have a bitter rivalry, but respect your opponent for cryin out loud! OSU wouldn't be OSU without the Michigan rivalry & vice-versa. This is why I don't understand fans that want Michigan or any other Big 10 team to get the crap beat out of them by Alabama or any SEC team. Bring on the down votes if you disagree, but the truth is we need the Big 10 , including Meatchicken to do well & be successful. Especially if college football evolves into what it may, with a panel choosing the "final four". Schedule strength will be an important factor. I ALWAYS want to stomp UM when we play them, but a rivalry can't be one sided...

  • Respect here is respect and the class of most of buckeye nation. Bo passed away before the greatest game in the rivalry and all I remember was the buckeye faithful paying respect to Michigan fans even during halftime. We cheered for our team and made it clear we dislike even hate Michigan but respect was still part of the equation.

    The new regime up north can fuel the rivalry and I think that is great but they need to teach their boys that in their lives you will never be respected if you don't respect others. Their tactics today are childish and over the top

  • First of all, death threats are way over the top, totally uncalled for and should be investigated. I'm with you, I want proof, first. Besides that, the name calling and things thrown at him? I've never seen that happen, and there are plenty of morons wearing michigan gear in this town. Most are just ignored like the poor, befuddled, homeless guy down the street. A young, 300# guy? Yeah, right. Besides the "alleged" death threats, what he was doing with the letter was flat-out taunting. Most of you, like me, ran into guys in school that would taunt us with comments about our mother, our dress, our girlfriend or something else just to show themselves to be superior etc. When we would take exception and accost them, they would quickly turn the tables and blame to us as overreacting and say something like: "Hey, I didn't know you were going to be like that!" Therefore, we came out on the losing PR end. Then you would hear, "I'm just sayin'!" That's what's happening here, LTT showing off to his buds and waving the ugly um flag into the OSU's fans face. We respond and then it's: "Hey, I'm just sayin". "I should have known OSU fans would be like that!" I didn't like those people when I was in the sixth grade and I don't like them now. He totally has some maturing to do.

  • Death threats ? In Peoria Illinois where shootings and stabbings occur regularly? I think the young man undoubtably has more to worry about than the relatively few OSU fans in the area. If there were any threats, please stop as my Ohio State decorated truck may become a target of some of the silliness!

  • ok, DON'T have a twitter account and don't want one. What the hell do I care about somebody else's thoughts in 140 characters or less. If this asshole said that he'd pay someone to hurt someone else, arrest him, set the standard and all this high tech foolishness stops. As for all Buckeye fans being terrible, unruly, non classy, or vulgar , well that's just like saying all michigan fans are wonderful, sweet, innocent and decent, both sides got assholes , so there you are!!!!! NOW that doesn't mean I like michigan, but I'm not an asshole either, not stupid enough to not know that there's a game next year and the year after and that it's not life or death.

    one last thought, the stupid kid that put the burning on twitter in the first place wanted some attention, what he should have been doing is working on his pass blocking, saw his video on the one on one passing drills. whoa, if you're gonna have that many look out blocks, don't draw attention to yourself nationally, it can't help!

  • I was impressed with the message in your article about respect and then you had to throw in a zinger about last year's staff again. Evidently I am in the minority with this comment, but can we expect respect when we show a lack of it towards our own staff. I really thought this was behind us.
