    My wife is in cyber operations(USAF 2LT), writght patt is def a place she could move to pretty easily with her job. But I think maybe that's a last stop type of place. We want to continue traveling and seeing new things. So I think we are going to try to get a Europe assignment next. If not then its likely Cali or Florida. Or another large Comm base. But still have 2 years left here in Hawaii.

    Thanks for the kind words, and I realize I'm a large support system for my wife. But I don't like people thanking me. You all are the ones who put your lives on the line. I respect that more then anything else in this world.

    Hell I dont even like people thanking me most of the time, I just joined cuz I didnt know what else to do, set me up in life pretty good though, my thinking was I didnt do anything, anyone else wouldnt do with what was going on in yhe world( guess I was wrong).

    You giys should check out elmendorf afb, place is amazing, I guarentee you would not regret it,

    My neighbors sister is about to graduate from Hawaii pacific and the navy hired her. She's going to train their dolphins. I didn't even know they used them. I think that's pretty awesome that they train dolphins to search out bombs and stuff.

    Didnt know that either, thats crazy... The dolphins I was referring to is the badge submariners wear its 2 dolphins with a wreath and some other crap mixed in.

    I was at ft richardson, they butt up agsinst each other, but it the best afb ive ever been on, been on 5 so not sure how good a feel I have for af bases, but alaska is the most beautiful place on earth... During the summer.your first winter blows but you get used to it, some much cool stuff to see and do up there, I highly recommend at least going on a vacation up there

  • Im Navy as well and I just hit my 8 year mark. Thought I was done with all of this stuff but damn if everytime i get to this point and I am so sure im outta here I change my. I have been second guessing it again and now this thread makes me proud all over again to be serving. Thanks for all the kind words from all. Decisions, decisions. LOL

  • I remember surfing the internet back in 07 while i was in Baghdad, looking for information on Ohio State. That's when i stumbled onto Bucknuts. It was such a great escape from the day to day grind over there. Been a member ever since.

  • Us army, 16 years and counting.....Logistic officer......was a medic for 8 years...miss that!!! My little know fact....and I knocked on wood....I went to my first buckeye game 22 years ago, they won, and the bucks have won every single game I have physically been to. Will be at Nebraska and Cal game this year....

    I am retired now after 21 years in the Army. I was stationed all over the world and I must say that during the period I served (especially the last 10 years) I would be on Bucknuts daily to find information in reference to recruiting and all top stories. I didn't become a member until recently but have followed for many, many years.

    There is no better feeling that a service member can have when he/she feels appreciation from our civilian community. A simple "Thank you" goes a long way!!!

    Thank all of you for letting these young soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines know how you feel about them and that you support them.

  • 13 Years in the Army. Right now I'm in Germany living the life of great Beer but very little OSU football. So Bucknuts is the greatest thing for me. I found it in 2002 for our national title when I was deployed to Afghanistan, the best thing I had going for me over there.

    Great to see all the military from all the services on this thread. Love to see all the support for the military and all the support from the military for our Bucks.
    Thanks for all the support and as always remember the families that serve as well.
