Update: Coombs not at UC's practice, cleaned out desk

We were just informed that Kerry Coombs is not at Cincinnati's spring football practice today. Soon after, 700 WLW reported that Coombs cleaned out his office today.
Coombs-to-OSU as corners coach is going to happen. The Dispatch was first to report this news. Coombs had a great 16-year career at Colerain as head coach before moving on to UC in 2007. We'll have much more in the Boarding House early this afternoon.

DB, you guys are all over it!! Great job!! Will the addition of Coombs give OSU deeper in roads into Cincy recruits?

What I have noted is there are no assiatants who are dead weight in terms of recruiting.
No free passes.
You better work your ass off in recruiting and get results or Urban has no use for you.
Tressel let guys slide.
His overall competency covered for it.
Guys like Bollman or heacock would have no chance of working for Meyer.

HELL YES IT WILL!!!! Coombs is the reason UC gets the players they get. if coombs is not there then neither are the cats. but i cant believe he is moving on to OSU. Not complaining welcome aboard Mr. Coombs! HUGE pick up URBAN!

Yes but it remains to be seen if he can coach. UC's DB's were not the best.

I'm no fan of Brian Kelly, but he commented on Kerry Coombs, I assume to do with Coombs' intensity:
"He can scare a cup of coffee."
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.

When I was in high school we beat Colerain in the State Semifinals...Coombs is a great coach and I am hopeful he locks down that Southwestern quadrant of Ohio HS talent...

Coombs > Peterson in terms of recruiting in SW Ohio.

He may be a better fit than Meyer's first pick who bolted back to the NFL!
