With all due respect, I must disagree. While I love to hear Urban's directional focus and thoughts on the team in general, I found Tiberi's questions to be regurgitated inquisition. At times during the answers Meyer even seemed annoyed. All I know is I stayed up late to see that interview and was completely disappointed. Nothing new at all.

Agree. Complete 360 from Tress. And yes, I do miss Tress already.

Part of me resented (on behalf of Tress, the kids and their parents -- and I am a remote outsider to be clear) his comment about "marginal players". I thought it was a smug, typical Meyer-esque comment. Then, on the other hand, as he described the play of the offense this past year....and if you surrounded Tim Tebow with this offense, he would not have done much.....it is hard to argue with him. 2011 was a year he wishes to wash down the toilet, and I presume, not just because of the losing season, but also because of HOW this team lost.

He is the Coach after-all and has seen this team over and over on film. I would guess that even after the Akron game which he called with Spielman, he smelled something bad about this team but it made no sense to say anything at the time.

Bottom line....he is a guy who has an agenda, and is, no matter what anyone thinks, saying and doing things to get a response. Clearly the days of "Gentleman Jim" are over -- with an exclamation point and the new sheriff is in town. It's his way or the highway. Some will not like it--- be they kids, parents or alums. And that's just the way it will be.

Thanks for posting. Great to finally have a coach who says what he means and means what he says. (I liked Tressel, but damn Senator-speak got old fast.)

You think Urban takes this job seriously or what? It's unbelievable how excited he is to have this job. He really is pumped up and energetic, it's contageous, it's great for our program and the B1G. I hope he goes on a terror right out the box. I think that our players will want to run through a brick wall for him.
