"Proud of our team (for the MSU win). Excited to come back home and play a night game in our stadium."
On whether Meyer wants to take more shots downfield:
"Yes, if our players prove to me that they're capable of doing it. In spring, my concern was (they couldn't hit the deep ball). But the answer is yes because Braxton throws a very-nice deep ball and we've had a couple receivers step up and prove they can catch it."
Says OSU's O-line was "much maligned" coming into the season. Been very impressed with them.
"No idea" about the tape-exchange controversy. "We've moved on. That's between the video coordinators."
Why so many successful head football coaches from Ohio?
"I really don't know. It's just a great football atmosphere. Very important when you grow up. All I knew growing up was the Browns, Bengals, Buckeyes and high school football."
Cites Woody and Paul Brown and Chuck Noll as three of the pioneers.
On Braxton playing through injuries and if that raises his respect level even more from his teammates:
"Oh sure. He's a tough runner and is a very-respected guy amongst our players. And that just enhanced it that he was able to fight through that."

Getting more pressure defensively:
"A couple weeks ago we made more of an emphasis on getting after the quarterback and not doing as much as the 'drop 8' in the secondary."
How involved are you in defense?
"I suggest. I give my opinion. I meet with them each week."
"I have a lot more confidence in the offensive line, so you might see more traditional stuff. We play to our strengths and right now one of our strengths is our offensive line."
"The challenges that Nebraska brings are obvious. They have one of the best rushing attacks in the country led by (Taylor) Martinez and (Rex) Burkhead. Then defensively, I've known Coach Pelini's style for a while and it's a tough, physical defense."
That's all. Teleconference just ended. We'll get injury updates tomorrow after practice.
Dan the mushroom hunter, the deer slayer, and diehard Buckeye fan!
And I shall rejoice in victory for another 365 days over That School Up North.
