    I think Bell has the potential to be a Mike Doss. He has all the physical tools. I hate trying to "label" recruits as the next "so and so," but I think Bell really has the potential to be the greatest since Doss roaming the backfield. I really hope Bell chooses us. Even as things seem to be trending our way these last 5-6 hours, I'm still not confident enough yet. But, I can never count out The Closer.

  • Truth of the matter is no one, including our guys here at Bucknuts have spoken to the Bell family. So none of them really know what is going on, everything is speculation. Lets just let it play out instead of starting a new thread every time one of these guys makes another guess about where Vonn is going. We got 2 days left guys...

  • Surprised to see all this complaining. This is good news. Sometimes a player flips back and forth because they are undecided. This is natural. I don't see Bell being dramatic here.

    I still think he ends up in Vol land, but maybe he will surprise us. After seemingly landing the play maker we need in Dontre, this class is all icing. I couldn't be more happy at where we are sitting.

  • Put me in the camp that hopes Mike is right!

    And for those wondering how/why his prediction keeps changing, it's evident to me that he has a source who is keeping him abreast of the situation. Like we often see in recruiting, kids can change their minds rapidly. One day he might be leaning towards Tennessee. Three days later he might be leaning towards OSU.

    I just think it's good news that OSU is still in the hunt here. I've said all along that I think Bell will go elsewhere; but I've also said I think OSU has a shot. (Course, I'm just repeating what Bill Kurelic says -- the true expert.)

  • Don't know if this is been posted yet but here is what the Alabama 24/7 site says about Von Bell approximately 2 hours ago.

    "The Skinny: Five-star safety down to a final three of Alabama, Ohio State, and Tennessee. Bell wrapped up his final official visit to Tennessee over the weekend and will announce his decision on signing day.
    The Scoop: Bell had a very good official to Tennessee and is a top priority for the Vols and new head coach, Butch Jones. Tennessee’s ascent is coupled with Alabama’s tight numbers and as of now the best bet is that Bell will play his college ball in Knoxville. That said, this isn’t a done deal and the Tide could re-take the lead with a serious push.
    The Pick: Tennessee
    Confidence Factor: 60%
    Previous Confidence Factor: 40%
    Runner up: Alabama"

    The writers clearly don't know that Alabama is out of the mix or that Ohio State is even still being considered. Shows that some of these writers are hardly impartial and have a hard time taking off the Kool-Aid filled glasses.

    It is also going to be tough to have a "serious push " since this is a quiet period.

  • The services are using this circus to get subscribers boys...IMO they don't know about Bell or Clark and are just guessing. Butch Jones...really. I can see Bama a heck of a lot more than Tenn...that place is a dumpster fire right now.

  • Check out this link for 11W site, three out of the four recruiting guys over there are predicting Bell to Ohio State. Derek is among them...I dont know about other guys on here but I have a lot of respect for Derek and his efforts in keeping us up to date on buckeye recruiting....There seems to be a lot of Bell to the Bucks smoke over the last 24 hours.

    2. Distance . Favors Tenn
    3. Chance to win. Favors Ala & OSU
    4. Family preference. Favors Tenn
    5. Coach relationship. Favors OSU

    Tenn + 3, Ala +1, OSU +3

    So it comes down to, do you do what mom and dad say, or do you go with the coach you like where you can win?

    My feeling, family is very important (they all came up together on the official visit) to Von and if Mom mad Dad pressure him to stay home, he will. If they really give him latitude to go where he wants, he is a Buckeye.

    Bama is going to be getting like ALL of the 5 stars. Ok not really but they're going to have a ridiculous finish from the looks of it. It honestly looks like a race to see who can be number 2. I'm ok with that.
