Look at his career stats, the picks were an anamoly. He wasn't going to be a top 5 pick. That was part of the media hype. There are literally dozens and dozens of better LBers in CFB right now. Ryan Shazier is most certainly a better NFL prospect.

I am still bought into Teo as an excellent LB. And although this charade will make him slip in the draft a bit I am willing to bet $ he is still a first round draft pick. I like Jarvis Jones of GA better as an NFL draft pick, but Teo is definitely a first round guy.

The Oklahoma interception was an incomplete pass. His hands clearly weren't under the ball and the ground knocked it loose, he then had to control it by pulling it into his belly. The only saving grace for the replay official was that the ruling on the field was a catch. If it had been anyone other than Teo and ND in a TV night game, it would have been overruled. It may have been a game changing (season preserving) play, and it was clearly the wrong call.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.

Couple of things...why not vote and name the Heisman AFTER the bowl season. What's the hurry and most Heisman winners are not a shadow of themselves in the bowl game because of the banquets, time for training loss and lack of focus. Does Troy Smith ring a bell. In fact, all the player and coach awards should be after the bowls IMO. Te'o appears to be destined to a career in politics; who better to carry on the conard he has perpitrated then a politician. Also, ND needs to hire Obama's PR people to spin this debacle in Te'o's favor by making him the victim and Bush responsible for the hoax. Just saying.

Dave, bucknuts continues to emphasize tackling numbers for teo as an accurate assessment of his performance. You guys even compare his stats to shaziers and say that is evidence that teo didn't do that much. While i agree with your assessment that numbers lie for guys like Hankins, they absolutely do for lbs too. NDs defense was so dominant that opponents frequently had three and outs, often with incomplete passes on 2nd and 3rd down. Of course he didn't have as many tackles. His tackles ended drives. Remember the mich game in 86 when spielman had 29 tackles and Byron lee had 19. That happened because Michigans line beat our defense like a drum. Spielman was clinging to ball carriers 8 yards downfield while Jamie Morris piled up 200+ yards. Long sustained drives leads to many tackles. Teo was great this year...til the bama game.
