I keep hearing that the WR's aren't doing this and doing that. I have not heard anything yet about what the WR coach is doing about all of this. Does he think the group is mediocre or what. What is he doing to step up the coaching of these guys. OSU hires coaches to bring players along. If he is NOT doing the job ..then can we wait like we did with Bollman?

What's he suppose to do? make them faster, quicker ? That's Mickey's job. He is dealing with guy's that are already here.
I think that Urban who was a receivers coach for 12 years of his career, is very hard on his receivers and uses the media to help motivate these guys. He says he is looking for playmakers and i think he just downplays what he has on the roster now. ( I think it helps with recruiting as well) it is not just a matter of speed because Devin Smith who runs on the OSU track team, his times are better than Percy Harvins in college.
I think he has more talent and depth that he let's on to all of us.......

As a production supervisor of 20 years, if my boss came out on the shop floor and told me that if my team didn't start getting the job done he would take over, I would know that it's my performance he was concerned with, not that of my team members.
The Zac Smith hire is obviously a favor to Earl, not an indication of career achievement such as the rest of the staff has with the exception of Vrabel. At least Vrabes has an NFL career to lend creedence to his resume. What has Smith achieved? My point is that Smith is the weak link in the coaching staff. I'm sure Meyer doesn't expect miracles from his receivers but it appears he is not seeing the progress he expects and he is holding his receivers coach accountable. Just like any other member of the Buckeyes, Urban demands that his coaches perform or he will get someone who will. The message was for Zac Smith as well as the receivers.
