What we learned: Great job Dave and the rest of the crew. It was as tough a season to report as watch and you guys were there every step of the way.
Great news about Fragel, but we still need Farris and Baldwin to move over to the OL. Hopefully we never have to see a Tressel era Ol again.

Dave, I'm not real thrilled about an offensive line that reads:
Fragel (converted TE) at LT, Mewhort, Bobel ( started 0 games) Lindsey, part time sub, Norwell. We may have Urban and a new OL coach but we are not out of the woods at all. We lack talent at several spots and the old regime was too chicken to let the young kids get a chance, what did we have to lose, we lost all the games anyway!

Does this game have an effect on targeted recruits? Like Dodson if Wisky wins and we lost our bowl game could he get caught up in the moment that the school he gave his word to won the Rose Bowl and just decide to stay?So does bowl game outcomes affect recruitment at all?

I agree but at least the other team wont know the plays we are running and the OL will actually have a coach

Was really impressed the way Braxton played today. So excited to see whats coming from him with the new offensive schemes.
What did we really expect after all. This was the same team who fizzled big time down the stretch, and please, please, get the special teams back on track next year, embarrasment!
Dave, you really think Fragel can go from TE to LT. Thats obviously Braxtons backside? Just dont see it but dont know if Norwell can handle it there either.
A quick congrats to mState who just finally added some respect for what again is going to be another dissapopinting Big Ten bowl season!

do not think that we will go undefeated next year. Too many people making too many mistakes. offensive gameplan was conservative again.

I say no way. They saw us play like dirt all year. One game that Urban had nothing to do with will change things

I read that Fragel was the one who went up to Meyer and asked him about moving to Tackle on Dave Biddles Tweet from Buckeye Ozone. Love that he is willing to do anything

we learned braxton is not a very good QB and Bollman is an even worse O-Coordinator. Granted we didn't really have to "learn" these things as they were known.

We learned that OSU homers were wrong again about blowing out a very bad SEC team who had SPEED and a D-line that handed us our asses. Thank goodness Meyer's knows what it takes to compete with the SEC and has 2 years to get up to SPEED

This team is a long way from winning a B1G division.
OL is going to be a huge problem and LBs lack dept. The DBs also need to take a big step up.
Brax and his WR have along way to go. Special teams too. Urban isn't a miracle worker.

That is my concern also.
I hope the kids want to be a part of the future and do not place a lot of merit on today's result.
I MUST go a little Bucknuts every day.

We learned that the coaching staff mailed it in. The players weren't motivated, the special teams coaches continue to stick with the 'please block my punt' formation, and there wasn't much improvement in the past month of practice. Very disappointing, but it's all in the rearview mirror now.
