What the heck? Exactly. The Buckeyes' defense continues to be an embarrassment and the visitors had to hold on to defeat cellar-dwelling IU. Could Bo Pelini replace Luke Fickell after this season as defensive coordinator? While the defense was atrocious, the offense was good once again. Is Braxton Miller really a legit Heisman candidate? What's been the big difference in the running backs the last two weeks? What position group is the biggest pleasant surprise on the team? Dave Biddle has more in WWL.

That...that's so sad to think about.
The offense put FAR more pressure on this defense last year yet we still had something like the 20th ranked defense in the nation, which is a feat considering we had the 108th ranked offense.
Like, how are we WORSE on defense with the SAME players?

After Nebraska fires Bo Pelini following this season (You did hear they’re getting a new AD, right?), what are the chances that he comes home to be the Buckeyes’ D-coordinator?
.......and Luke can order pizza for the team at that point.

Seriously did Curtis Grant do something totally wrong? I mean what is the message here? Boren hasn't played defense since HS and he gets 5 tackles?

Bids, I will say that there are no quick fixes on a defense so clearly lacking talent at key positions. We've seen how one player can weaken a defense (right Anderson Russell--no offense, he would be our best safety). There are at least 4-6 spots on this defense.
Although I don't think it would be fair to get rid of Fickell, the only guy I would jump at is Bo Pelini if he is fired. Bo is an AWESOME DC and his track record would be too good to pass up.

No offense bc I am not a negative person. But I am not a fan of Christian Bryant. I feel like he takes terrible angles to make the tackle. And that's a bad characteristic for your safety.

The "co-defensive-coordinator" experiment results are in.
Withers will not agree to stay in Columbus another year if he has to play second fiddle to a guy with less experience and no success in his current role. The unfortunate part of all of this is that Fickell's stock is dropping like a lead balloon.

And they fired the pizza boy for telling Fickell's wife they need a better defense... I say fire Fickell and hire the pizza boy. Can't be any worse.

Hey Dave. The same Bo Pelini that gave up 63 to the Bucks last week? I seriously doubt that UM would consider him.

We learned that special teams were indirectly responsible for 22 of Indiana's points. Blocked punt, 60 yard kick off return, out hustled on an on side kick. Throw in an unnecesary block in the back that nulified a 29 yard punt return and this unit needs a helluva lot of work too.

Somehow I do not see Bo coaching with Meyer..not a perfect match.

I had mentioned bringing in Pelini, but he is psycho and we watched 63 get dropped on his defense last week, I dont care that it was us
