What a joke this Todd Worley mod guy on the Iowa site is.


  • One of their posters called Meyer a douche for wanting to teach the B1G coaches how to recruit.

    I wrote that was NOT what he said, that he wanted to address the subject of the recent poor B1G recruiting season, and asked if Iowans were not embarrassed that they finished 55th in the country - behind Indiana for example. With a coach that's been there 10 years and should be plugged into recruiting in hundreds of high schools by now.

    He banned me until December - that's OK. Probably take that long for those scholars to write something worth reading anyway.

  • They need to think about how their program is stuck in a rut and go after one of the 5 or 6 outstanding mid-major coaches that burst onto the scene every year. And a few who are established and have been reluctant to move. Kirk Ferentz is a dinosaur. Look at most of the other B1G schools. They have gone after energetic young coaches who won't be put off by Meyer's attempts to get them going. They will probably be listening to every word he says, even Hoke and Kill. That's how they got to where they are in the first place - by being sponges. Ferentz and Dantonio will probably be rolling their eyes at each other and will continue to recruit within a 500 mile radius.
    If I were a B1G football coach, I would let OSU do the work to identify the national talent, then I would follow right after them and offer many of the same guys and even some of their talented teammates.
    They shouldn't be afraid to jump into the deep end of the pool.

  • Worly is the biggest, most sensitive tool on 247. He was a tool on the Michigan site so they sent him to Iowa since nobody ever goes there. I could write better than him on the toilet and I would even be willing to consider differing opinion. Worly should work for the North Korean media.

    Haven't run into him before - but based on the first encounter, I am inclined to agree with your assessment.

  • Not sure Ferentz is the guy to call out. Iowa has more players in the NFL than all but 2 sec schools. I tend to trust NFL franchises more than recruiting sites so he kind of knows what hes doing.

  • What is the fascination on going to other teams sites? Especially in the B10 where just about every program is irrelevant from a national perspective.

  • No one wants to come to a board of their favorite team and have people from other boards take over their threads and talk junk about their team. What is so hard to understand about that? Imagine if Florida fans came on this board non stop and talked about why we cant beat them in title games.

    Either leave other boards alone or dont bitch when u get banned.
    WTF are u doing trolling Iowa boards anyway?

    I don't have a problem with it. If I do it I usually try to have a respectful conversation. I hate internet warriors.

  • I like reading the scum boards to keep up with what they are doing and to remind myself how blessed I am to be a Buckeye fan. After last night, the Sparty boards are my new favorite. They'll play along and go back and forth with you and they'll stay up all night doing it cuz in a state with 41% unemployment, they don't have to get up for work in the morning. Scum boards will just ban you for any disagreement.

  • I would be pissed too if we were down and other BIG fans came on our board asking if we were embarassed with our class. You will always rub people the wrong way when you take that approach.

    i agree, the mods are almost against each other in a lot of cases. Which i understand sometimes i would just like a more unified staff with all 247 and some sort of voting system amongst mods to get people banned. Hell they have kids as MODS on a lot of the sites. Emotionally compromised
