What happens if Bauserman starts vs Colorado?

  • If Fickell starts Bauserman this week, how do the fans react? Also, how does the team react?

    I honestly think that Bauserman and Fickell would be "BOOED" right away. I'm not saying this is the right thing to do as a fan base, but I think the true die hard fans will be tired these coaching decisions and tired of seeing their team being run directly into the ground with Bauseman at the helm.

    I just wanted to get some opinions if this potentially terrible situation occurs on Saturday...

    If he starts Bauserman, I think Fickell is showing just how much he doesn't want this job.

    If you start Bauserman, be prepared for boos on Bauserman's first bad pass.

  • I always say that the coaches know more than I do, but if Bauserman even sees the field I will be pissed. Even if Braxton isn't as good right now, he is the future. If Bauserman starts it indicates to me that Fickell is more concerned about his job than the long term good of the buckeyes.

  • He is getting booed, even if he comes in as a second stringer.

    Fickell will only have himself to blame. He knows what's coming and should he still play Bauserman then I don't want to hear crap about how bad osu fans are or how parents find it "sickening."

  • I think the fans have every right to "Boo" if Bauserman plays even one snap. OSU fans are some of the most dedicated fans in the country. When things get bad, they should be allowed to voice their opinion, even if that does mean "booing" Bauserman and/or Fickell.

  • I am not even trippin on it. If he starts Joe then he does... this year has just been crazy and I am not getting all worked up. The team will be fine and things will work themselves out!

    At worst he starts Miller and he makes alot of frosh mistakes, but learns how to be a college football QB for next year, we right this year off. At best, they let him"play" and his athleticism carries him his first year, like Pryor's did and we compete for Big 10 Championship. Either way Goodbye Joe "Indecisive" Wowserman...

    The coaches always know best. But a cave man could see Bauserman is not worthy of Starting. If Braxton is not ready, then platoon him with Guiton and Graham and see if something sparks like it did with Texas A&M's qb switch last season. The only thing we ALL know is true is Bauserman will ruin Ohio State's season and Fickels coaching future if Bauserman is ever allowed to start/play again!

    1. Hope and pray that stadium ushers have thoroughly searched fans and seized all throwable contraband such as rocks, batteries, chairs, hand grenades, etc.

    2. Stretch out my legs and feet and enjoy an unfamiliar roominess in the Shoe as neighboring fans head for the exits in disgust.

    3. Wonder what will cost more the next week: scalping two ticket to see Sparty visit or taking the GF to see a movie at AMC Lennox on Friday night.

    Agreed. I think losing because a freshman QB is making mistakes as he learns the game is more acceptable than with a 5th year senior who has been flat out inept. As a fan I would be more willing to accept Braxton's growing pains than JB's indecision.
