Agree with all of the above except that the rotation will be more like 10 or even 12 players, especially on hot days and big wins.
The big thing is that the d-line should now have enough depth at all spots so that nobody has to play out of position, and the D-line will not be crippled by a single injury, even if 1-2 redshirt or move to offense. The big thing last year was no effective backup to Williams, moving people out of position to make up for it, so it hurt two spots on the d-line, not just one.
If your five best defensive players turn out to be DE's, I would want to get as many in the game at once as I could. I would not be surprised to see position changes, or playing more than two DE's in certain situations. It may depend on whether there are other positions of need.
