The most crucial play for me was the missed call in regulation against Miami that would've sealed the game. After playing it over and over, Gamble was clearly in bounds that would've sealed a 17-14 win. If that call was made correctly, we would never have the PI call and never hear the idiotic Miami fans over the years.

ohiost83 I wish I could have went to the national championship game that would have been great. My bucket list includes going to an Ohio State vs Michigan game at the Horshoe. That would be incredible.

It was something we will never forget.
Miami players like Sapp and others, plus their few fans were running their mouths at the Fiesta Bowl pre game party, you could have heard crickets from them afterwards.
I even bought John McCain, a soda, who sat new us incognito, great man and American!

It was blind luck, but we took a wrong turn thinking we were headed in early for the game, we ran right into the OSU busses pulling in. I will never forget Tressel's face in that front seat on the drivers side, and as he got off the bus. No emotion, he was on a mission and looked like a stone cold killer, that look was not the Tressel the media saw.

Another big play, late in the Cincy game and down 3 or so, Darrion Scott broke free and sacked the Cincy QB near midfield. OSU recovered and Krenzel made that miracle scamble real late to put us ahead and win. Cincy had a small drive going near midfield, not sure if Scott does not force the turnover we win.

Favorite play: Holy Buckeye
Most critical play: 4th and 14

I went to every home game that season, and watched every other on TV. Holy Buckeye had friends calling me from across the country, but the two that stand out in my mind are Gamble's INT against PSU - we had nothing going all game otherwise; and Mo C's wheel route vs. Michigan.

I remember that wheel route to Clarett. Tressel was setting that up all game long and it worked. The defensive line all year was putting pressure on folks. Miami realized quickly that they were not going to blow us out.
