1985 ( I believe) I was in 2nd or 3rd grade. Interestingly enough it was in East Lansing not in Columbus.
Ohio State won on a FG in the final minutes.
the first game I ever went to... Syracuse was playing our beloved Buckeyes and Art was the qb!!! I was in 2nd grade!!

1987 vs Iowa. I went with my brother-in-law. Without looking it up, I'm pretty sure we won.
You see that sign over there that says 'Rib Tips'??
Troy Smith's heisman year in at U of I. My brother inlaw is a campus cop, he got me on tOSU sideline. IT WAS AWESOME!!!
OSU vs Purdue. My brother was being recruited by Woody and we came to Ohio State with him on this official visit. Purdue was the No. 1 team in the nation. Who knew a group of sophomores made history that day and beat them 13-0.
It took me 5 years to finally convert my dad into an OSU fan after moving to C-bus from Texas..but when I finally did I was around 12 at the time..and we picked the perfect season to finally go to a game, 2002. I still remember vividly watching that NC game against Miami on TV, with my dad and brother. All we could do at the end of the game was look at each other and laugh..strange as that sounds. After all the swings of emotions that we experienced during that game, I think laughing was about the only emotion we had left! We were on our seats all night, and when Dorsey threw that incomplete pass we almost didn't know how to react..best game of football I have ever watched in my life.
I am 30 and grew up in Florida after my parents migrated after they went to CBus - my first live game of many FL bowl loses in the 90s was Syracuse Hall of Fame Bowl Jan 1 92 vs the Missle Quadry Ismail- first game in da shoe was Washington 03 - great night game after natl title game
1981 at home vs. Ben Bennett and Duke. I was a Sr. in high school and sat in 14C with my Dad and 2 of my HS buddies. Tim Spencer took a hand-off on the first play from scrimmage and went 80 yards for a TD. My college choice was sealed that day. The first of over 100 games since then.
"He simply ran out of his shoe!" Warfield on Byars - OSU 45 - ILL 38, 10/13/84
In 1948 in the Horseshoe against Minnesota when they were best in the Big 10. They had two All Americans in Tonnemaker and Nomellini and put a 28-0 beating on the Buckeyes.
grew up in Dayton Ohio in a very poor family. We didn't get to make little family trips to football games. Tickets were too expensive for us.
So it wasn't untill I was an adult that my wife's brother (Capital Alum) knew and had some guys working for him who were buckeye alumni and season ticket holders. They weren't going to make the game so they gave us two tickets to the Purdue game in 03 at the horse shoe. We sat near the 20 yard line in the first deck nearest the field. We were surrounded by grey haired people. So I guess you have to wait a long long long long long time to get season tickets in a decent part of the stadium.
It was a great time. Score was tied and Nugent on the final play of the game goes for the winning field goal. Blocked!! On to overtime. Nugent kicks a 36 yarder and then the Purdue kicker misses his. We win.
The awefense was just just as my spelling suggested. If not for some late game heroics by Tim Anderson and Mike Kudla who took down Orten in the endzone and caused a fumble.....we might have lost.
