Which Former Buckeye is Best Current NFL Player

  • In 2-3 years you can add Kurt Coleman and Malcolm Jenkins for sure. Coleman had a very solid rookie year. He had a Sunday night game against the Vikings where he took Adrian Peterson down in the open field several times. He will be a star.

Good days, bad days --- always a Buckeye. Time to begin the assault on the 2013 BCS National Championship

  • I think people are saleing some people short. When do anyone ever consider someone in a non skilled position the best player at anything besides their own position. I think the same logic would and should apply here. I like Mangold but he's a Center. Guys like Holmes and Will Smith (who I think is our best) have way more competition at their positions because they require much more skills and athleticism.

    1) Will Smith
    2) Santonio Holmes (Superbowl mvp)
    3) Mangold
    4) Winfield (because of age)

Mangold touched the ball more than any other player on the list last year.

  • I watched every Packer game this season and AJ needs to be mentioned a little more than he has in this thread. His first 3 years have been average but this season he was very good and a big reason the Packer defense held up through all of the injuries. His name was mentioned a lot in regards to leadership as they handed him the defensive calls after Barrnet went down. I think Mangold, Holmes, Smith, and Winfield are your top 4 but AJ deserves some props (along with the other Bucks mentioned in this thread).
