Micheal Jordan - (how could you be a teen in the late 80's/early 90's and not love MJ)
And I am embarrassed to say, but Calbert Cheaney - I really thought he was going to be a superstar in the NBA.. oops.. sadly, I still have a Bullets #40 jersey buried in a box somewhere in my attic.

Funny how most people are listing pro athletes not college players.
I actually liked pro football way more than college football until I turned 30. I hardly watch pro football any more. Did others make a similar switch?

+1000. I was probably 35 but I have made that switch as well. I guess cynicism, PEDs, the lack of loyalty, and the $$ associated with the professional athlete of today has me not rooting for too many of them. It is much easier to cheer for the S and G then the your childhood favorite professional team IMO.

I was first a pro fan. I still am a big fan of the pro game but I am a bigger college fan now.
