TP. He is younger and even if he wasn't your everydown QB you could still put in a package of plays to take advantage of his athleticism. Also, with TP you could always try him at TE or WR to take advantage of his athleticism and size.
Love Troy though. The best Buckeye QB I've seen in my 32 years on this earth.
Man the raiders are searching high and low for a qb. I hope Troy gets a shot and let him and tp fight it out for the starting job.
holy shit.... I thought he was done.... SMITH!!!!!!!!! I can jump on that bandwagon any day.
I was find it odd when a QB has 5+ starts and a winning record, yet can't get more than 15 starts in the nfl.

Has a Raider fan I'm hoping for Matt Flynn to pan out but if not I see Pryor as the QB. I do hope Troy makes the team though.
Based on what I last saw of them and not on what I could try to guess about the possible development of Pryor or the possible erosion of Smith's skills. I take Smith for sure.
Accuracy = Smith
Arm Strength = Smith
QB IQ = Smith
Feet = Smith
Toughness = Smith
Pocket Presence = Smith
Hurt a team with legs = TP
Intangibles (leadership) = Smith
I say this, it would be very interesting to see what these guys could do if they were with a team that would give them the keys and tell them they were the starter. That way they aren't looking over their shoulder and trying too hard to make every play spectacular. I think they both press a lot, at least from what I've seen. I hope one or both make it.
Easiest choice I would ever have to make.
Pryor every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Might have been a different issue if Troy were younger but in football years he is done, in my opinion.

I would love for it to be Smith, but as purplerein said, it's not 2006. I can't figure out why Troy has not caught on somewhere - anywhere - but I have to think there are some hurdles he has that limt his potential in the pros. I know he had a lot of players behind him as a leader in Baltimore, and that he had a shot at winning the starting job over Flacco until he got sick at the end of camp, but other than that he's never been a factor. What is it? Height? Work ethic in the film room? Catchable balls (dude has a cannon, and ripped layers of skin off Gonzo's hands week after week)? I have no idea, but after 6 years, it's got to be something.
IF TP gets his footwork down, I think he has the skills to be a QB. I don't know if he has the mind to be a QB. He was spotty reading Ds and taking advantage in college, and the NFL is a helluva lot faster. I love my Buckeyes, but if he doesn't have it to start among that group, it might never happen for him.
if troy would have had the same first year O package/opportunity that flacko got from cameron/ravens, he would have succeeded. imho
pryor is such a freak athlete that, at this point, i'd probably go with him. Troy had/has the better arm though.
Pryor had the same record against Michigan as Smith. Really poor analysis on that one.
In biggest game, Smith gagged to the worst Heisman performance in bowl game history.
TP was two-time MVP of back-to-back BCS bowl games and stuck it to Iowa in consecutive de facto Big Ten title games.
TP is not just younger, but has far better physical skills, too. Pryor all day every day. Smith won't even make the roster.
