Why no offer for Madaris?

  • Just read an article in the Cincy Enquirer about Madaris. Mark Porter has him rated as the top pure receiver in Ohio. Maybe it's a down year for Ohio receivers, but he is also a 4 star on rivals I believe. Is there just not enough room for him at OSU or is it his speed? Some other reason he doesn't have an OSU offer?

  • Do you realize there is a limit on scholarships in a normal state?
    Do you realize the limit is less then normal due to NCAA sanctions?

    We have bigger fish to fry given our cap space.

    We don't need him. We already have 3 very young and talented WR's that played last year, another recruit already enrolled early, 2 more recruits committed, and possibly adding Neal.

    Frank E is ranked higher. It's Duane's, Bill's, and Mark's rankings.

    At #22 in the state, it becomes borderline whether or not you get OSU offers. Of spots 21-30, there are three offers (Bradley-21, Roberts-25, Powell-27)
