"The only thing That Team Up North will be tasting this year is the salty tears of defeat" - UFM
We may have lost the battle......but not the war.
I think Marshall, Clarke, Elliot and Wilson will all be on the field at some point or other but it will start out with specific situations and sets that take advantage of noted deficiencies in the opposition's defensive schemes. The results will determine who begins to play more. All these young men have the potential to be good. We already have good. Meyer is looking for great. We shall see. If I were a betting man, I would bet on Marshall as he has the Braxton Miller moves to make something out of nothing along with surprising size and strength. I'm just glad we have all 4 of these guys instead of having to play against them!
UMMMM DONTRE WILSON? did anyone else watch that Senior HIghlight tape??? HOLY SHIT!!! Dude is a beast.....A lot of speed coming in with this freshman class...im sure someone will get some reps
In a word ... no!
The fact that none of these kids are on campus for Spring Ball means that this whole crop shows up in the summer and their first taste of CFB is in August 2013. First they need to get their black stripes removed, then they have to learn the play book, demonstrate that they can block down field and so on, then they have to demonstrate discipline in the weight room and class room.
You can toss their film out the window except to say they were worthy of the scholly. You can also chuck out their track times. All these kids are fast. Hell Devin Smith and Philly Brown had great track times but played slow as freshman, didn't run good routes and couldn't effectively block anyone.
I do think one of the new kids could be a KR as we really didn't have a legit one last yr, and possibly PR as well. But PR is a risky position for a freshman, but it's very possible.
I also think all of them have the ability to see the field early if they are mature enough = don't go into Urb's dog house. There is no doubt the staff will want to see how they do when the bright lights come on. They will keep getting touches so long as they keep progressing, but if they fail to learn the playbook etc see Dunn, Brionte
