Will Taver Johnson get to coach Arkansas?

Unfortunately for him I think he will get the Luke Fickell treatment. He will have to go undefeated to get the job full-time. The advantage for him is Arkansas is way more talented this year then we were last year. Arkansas may even try and hire someone before the season. ESPIN is saying the players want Taver Johnson or Paul Haynes to coach the team.

My friend at Alabama says that Gus Malzahn and Butch Davis are the two top candidates that the Boosters want. Big meeting this morning to discuss and make calls.

I don't think that he sees one practice after the spring game as the head coach. They don't let a season go to waste like OSU did.
And Butch Davis? Wouldn't they want someone who didn't just screw up a program? I think Charlie strong or malzan will be the hire.

With Tressel being let go Memorial Day weekend OSU did not have a lot of options and did the right thing in tagging Fickell. Without Pryor the season was going to be a downer anyway. If we would have taken the best available on June 1st 2011, we would not have gotten Meyer in November. Sometimes you need to look at the big picture.

Yeah I agree with most of you I don't think that Taver will get to coach the team this year. He would be a good coach for them though.
