I fail to understand how a recruit can not have paid closer attention to his grades from frosh year on. when there is a real talent cannot the coach, guidance dept at the school and god forbid the parents stay on them about homework and grades. we have to wait until the second semester of sr year or later to determine if a kid qualifies. grades and act scores should never be an issue if a kid is serious about his acedemic career at the same level as their athletic career.
