Totall exposed... again... slowest player in the NCAA. That 1st play totally bit on the QB run and left his assignment wide open...

If you watch Barnett he went and helped Howard who didnt need any help and left that side of the field wide open. That 1st play was 100% Barnett. On that note, Klien was burnt on other plays and played slower than any player that I have seen play LB at OSU.

Not defending Klein but Shavers is actually their RB. Crafty move by Hope to line him up at fullback to create the mismatch. Other than Shazier I don't think we have another LB that could have covered him. Shavers is a pretty decent back.

I was shocked he was on the field for the opening snap. I thought I had read Boren was starting.

Note sure why he was playing versus a spread oriented team. Klein should only play against MSU & Wisky(I would prefer he not play at all). He will be ok agaist those two. There must be some part fo the defense, Boren may not know yet. The problem now is DC's have identified Klein and migh be targeting him a little. He just does not have the quickness or footspeed to play linebacker effectively at this level. Boren is already better. smh... Curtis Grant must be really a mess right now.

I agree with everyone that he is not very good and under normal circumstances, he would never see the field, but these are not normal circumstances. We had to many linebackers leave this team and multiple injuries. Now we are so thin that we have had to move our fullback to linebacker. On Purdues kickoff TD, Jamal Marcus stopped and watched their player run right by him and looked lost. Not ready. Hey, I do not want to slam Klein because he is a Buckeye and is doing his best, but we are an injury away from even more trouble. We need to bring in some linebackers in this years class!!!!!

Worse LB I can remember at OSU being granted playing time over and over in years, and I mean a long time.
Not only is he slow, unathletic, soft, and takes bad angles while hardly ever making a play, he is a liability other teams see and attack.
Joe Galloway pointed it out a few times, clueless Fickell cannot.
Klein is Bauserman for this year, Fickell's player that does not deserve to play and adds very little to nothing, but in Fickell's mind he rewards him for knowing the system.
Repeated off the field issues mean little to Fickell as well, just trot him out and start him after those embarrassing fiascos.
Hey Luke, knowing the defense and actually making plays is two different things.
